Guest Speakers

Dr Rageshri Dhairyawan, HIV Clinician, and Lindsey Ponsonby, NAT Senior Discrimination Case Worker.

Cofacilitators

Our Estelle (Lead Mentor Mother) and Our Konzo (Bookkeeper).

In her excellent presentation, Rageshri discusses how an HIV clinic can communicate with you. Can you book appointments digitally or have appointments online? If yes, do you need any downloads? What digital tools would you need? Is there any help from the clinic if you are struggling digitally? If not, where can you get help?

Following that, Lindsey Ponsonby from NAT gives an insightful talk about discrimination, what it is, and What to do if your HIV status is shared without your consent or you are discriminated against. She ends with information on what information goes on a death certificate. If you choose, you may wish to discuss an Advanced Care Plan with your HIV clinician. This plan allows you to outline your preferences and make decisions in advance about your care and arrangements, ensuring that your wishes are respected.
